FEBC broadcasts the Gospel in Indonesian and 10 other minority languages.
We operate the only Christian radio station on the island.
In addition to broadcasting, we also offer Bible Classes, medical outreach clinics, support children through educational scholarships and help families become self-sufficient through micro-enterprise projects (providing goats, chickens, etc. to sell).
If you’ve ever moved, you know how lonely it can feel. In fact all of us feel lonely at times, but think of how lonely it would feel if we didn’t know Jesus. Pray for lonely kids in Indonesia. Pray they find friends . . . and even more importantly, that they learn about Jesus Christ.
Side note: All these words have their roots in Hinduism:
Sharing Jesus in my Jerusalem
Have you heard any of these words before? (arrow pointing to side note) Hindu principles are quietly creeping into our heads through the influence of pop culture. A lot of people these days think this is the cool way to talk and the hip way to believe. Trouble is—if they believe this then they’ll miss the truth.
The Bible says one important way you can share Jesus in your Jerusalem is to have your head in the game. Your challenge is to be ready to share the hope that you have in Jesus whenever you can. The Bible says it this way:
always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you (1 Peter 3:15).
When the Bible uses the word “defense” it means we should think out what we believe so that we can stand up for Jesus. So what are your answers to these questions:
Who do you believe Jesus is?
Why do you believe what the Bible says?
Why do you think you’re right?
It might take talking this through with someone like your pastor or your Mom or Dad to get it clear in your head. You want to feel confident in your answers so you’ll know how to express what you believe to your friends and those around you who need to hear about Jesus. This way, the Great Commission means you’re giving somebody what they really need—the truth about God.
